You, Me, and the Bees, Inc. empowers school-age through college-age students, along with their parents and guardians, with accessible, inclusive, and comprehensive healthcare education. We are committed to breaking down complex health topics—from puberty and preventive care to understanding medical specialties and navigating health insurance—so individuals and families can make informed decisions, advocate for themselves, and build lifelong wellness. Through education, community engagement, and awareness, we aim to cultivate a generation that is confident, informed, and proactive about their health.

Our Mission

Our Story

You, Me, and the Bees, Inc. was born from a series of personal experiences that revealed just how powerful—and necessary—healthcare education truly is.

Through my time in both public and private school health classes, I noticed gaps in how health topics were taught—especially in real-life understanding, access, and confidence in navigating the healthcare system. That awareness deepened through hands-on experiences beyond the classroom.

While volunteering at an orphanage in South Africa, I met children whose lives had been profoundly shaped by HIV/AIDS—many having lost family members, and some living with the condition themselves. It was a life-changing experience that highlighted not only the importance of medical care but also the critical role of education, awareness, and prevention.

My journey continued through internships with organizations committed to improving global health and community well-being, including Clean the World in Orlando, Florida, and the Good Work Foundation in South Africa. These experiences provided a broader perspective on the challenges many communities face—and reinforced a common truth: access to clear, compassionate, and practical healthcare education can change lives.

Together, these moments made one thing clear: people of all ages need better tools, knowledge, and support to understand their health and advocate for themselves.

Why “You, Me, and the Bees”?

The name You, Me, and the Bees was inspired by the familiar phrase “the birds and the bees”—a conversation many associate with early health education. But we wanted to reimagine that idea into something more inclusive, empowering, and ongoing.

Health education shouldn’t be a one-time talk—it should grow with us.

“You” represents every individual learning to understand their own health.

“Me” reflects the shared journey; we’re in this together.

The “Bees” represent more than just a play on words. Bees are community builders, educators, and essential contributors to a thriving ecosystem. In the same way, we believe that learning about health is a shared responsibility between individuals, families, and communities.
